It blends the magical girl anime universe of Sailor Moon with the dark, satirical fantasy strategy video game series Dungeon Keeper. During a battle in the first season of Sailor Moon, Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury) chases General Jadeite through an interdimensional portal. The portal closes prematurely, trapping her deep underground in an unfamiliar, harsh fantasy realm called Adushul. The Deal with the Devil: Stranded in an abandoned dungeon, she encounters a hostile, trapped Horned Reaper. To avoid immediate execution, she is forced to bond her soul to a Dungeon Heart, officially transforming her into a Dungeon Keeper. By bonding with the heart, her soul is claimed by the realm's malicious Dark Gods.
