To keep it simple, DBZ is the continuation of the story that started in Dragon Ball. It revolves around the alien Goku who was raised on Earth, his son Gohan, and their friends (known as the Dragon Team) in their quest to get stronger and defend Earth from evil. Over the course of the series, the characters grow and age, and enemies turn to rivals or even friends. By the end, Goku and Co. have fought and defeated many foes, including evil invading Saiyans, a planet destroying space warlord, super powered androids, a perfect being created in a lab, and an ancient evil being that existed since the beginning of time.
