King Kai is the Kai of the North. He lives on a small planet in Other World where he enjoys counting the blades of grass and driving in his car. When Goku died defeating Radtiz, Goku travels through the prolonged Snake Way to train with King Kai in order to be ready for the Saiyan Invasion. It was here that Goku learned the Kaioken and Spirit Bomb techniques. King Kai does like Goku, and was concerned when Goku fought Frieza as Planet Namek was being destroyed. However, King Kai can also be annoyed with Goku, especially when Goku accidentally killed him via an exploding Cell. King Kai has a pet monkey named Bubbles, and is well known for his sense of humor.
