First Class is set primarily in 1962 , and focuses on the relationship between Niles Caulder and Ernst / Brain, and the origin of their groups—the Doom Patrol and the Brotherhood of Evil, respectively, as they deal with the Brotherhood of Dada led by Mr. Nobody, a metahuman bent on enacting nuclear war.
