Pete Travis is an English television and film director. His work includes Cold Feet (1999), The Jury (2002) and Omagh (2004) for television, and Vantage Point (2008), Endgame (2009) and Dredd (2012) for cinema.
The story is set on Mars, with a UAC facility being invaded by the forces of Hell. The Doom Slayer awakens chained to a sarcophagus in a UAC facility. After stabilizing the Foundry before a meltdown occurs, Doomguy learns that Pierce plans to use the UAC's Argent Energy Tower to tear a permanent portal into Hell.
