She currently has an exclusive contract with the production company Wicked In 2018, Daniels became involved in a legal dispute with then-President of the United States Donald Trump and his lawyer Michael Cohen. Trump paid Daniels US$130,000 to prevent her from revealing the affair the two allegedly had in 2006 (Trump, at the time, was already married to his third wife, Melania). Initially, Trump denied that he had had an affair with Daniels and that he had made any payments to her. However, his lawyer confirmed the transfer of the amount and told the FBI that he made this transaction at Trump's request.
