Michael Richard Pence is an American politician who served as the 48th Vice President of the United States. Pence also served as governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017, as well as serving six terms in the House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013.Pence, who as vice president was also president of the Senate, could reverse the election result on the day of the certification of the electoral college votes in Congress on January 6, 2021. On that day, thousands of pro-Trump protesters stormed the Capitol. Pence, however, followed his constitutional role and presided over the session of Congress that certified the Biden-Harris election.
