Synopsis

RUN THEN, CHILD. YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME FOREVER. Martin McKenzie, a teenage gas station cashier on the outskirts of Houston, is drifting after graduating from high school. Description of Martin:

A reckless, carefree James Dean type. No real goals in life, other than to become a musician, though he thinks little of his abilities. For now, he runs the register at a 7-Eleven two blocks from his house. His parents have yet to pressure him about college, or even an actual career, in an effort to keep their lives simple, and in trusting that Martin will one day want more for himself. Without their knowing, Martin already heeds the future in fear, and is terrified of the day he’ll have to decide who he is.
