Following the events of "Ghost Rider", Johnny Blaze, the original Ghost Rider, has taken up the role of the new king of Hell, keeping Mephisto as his prisoner by breaking him out his Mirror Dimension prison guarded by Strange and Wong. With two immortal beings running across dimensions looking for Mephisto's son Blackheart, Strange and Wong must find new help across the Multiverse and find a way to stop Johnny and get try to get him to see how his new leadership position is being corrupted by his antigod prisoner.
