Once a brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon, Dr. Stephen Strange suffered a terrible car accident that robbed him of the use of his hands. Desperate to return to his work, and having spent his fortune on any surgical remedy, Stephen traveled to the Himalayas and found the monastery of a legendary sorcerer called The Ancient One. Through the study of magic and sorcery, Stephen Strange found a new calling as a protector against the mystical and supernatural threats of the world, particularly from his rival, Baron Mordo, and his master, the ruler of the malevolent Dark Dimension, Dormammu.
