Lux and Mooch are two smalltime criminals who try to steal an ancient artifact from Mordrid's apartment. The artifact in question was a crystal puzzle that the criminals get sucked into and Mordrid has to save them. After he does so, he wipes their memories. But while inside the puzzle, Lux got scratched by a demon. It turns his arm into a crystal talon and it gives him magical powers.
