Her film Baby Boom (1987) was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy. She co-wrote Father of the Bride (1991), Father of the Bride Part II (1995), and directed The Parent Trap (1998), What Women Want (2000), Something's Gotta Give (2003), The Holiday (2006), It's Complicated (2009), and The Intern (2015).
