Synopsis

On a school trip in the Himalayas, Japanese transfer student Akira Fudou dies and is possessed by Amon, a powerful demon. Resisting the demon’s control, Akira merges with Amon’s power while keeping his human heart intact. Later on, Akira discovers demons hiding in human society and vows to fight them as “Devilman.” But he faces a struggle within: how long can he hold on to his humanity before Amon takes over completely?

Description of "Amon":

After Mimi’s death, Akira loses hope and succumbs to darkness, allowing Amon to take control of his body. Amon tortures him with visions of Mimi’s death before challenging him to a battle to the death for control. Though initially losing, Akira finds strength in a vision of Mimi and defeats Amon, reclaiming control of his body. Now, Akira prepares for his final confrontation with Satan, revealed to be Rio Alejandra.
