Dante is lured to a demon island by Trish (demon who looks like his mom), where Mundus tries to kill him. There Dante faces mind-controlled Vergil and wins. By winning he gets both amulets and unlocks the Sparda sword, which he uses to beat Mundus later. Trish also turns to the good side and joins Dante.
