When a string of bizarre murders sends a city into panic, obsessive detective Elias Vale becomes convinced he is hunting a brilliant serial killer known as “The Curator.” But as Vale and his team decode increasingly elaborate clues, they fail to realize the terrifying truth: the killer is mostly improvising—and stealing his best ideas from the detectives themselves. What begins as a deadly cat-and-mouse game soon spirals into a ridiculous feedback loop of crime, ego, media hysteria, and accidental genius.
