Synopsis

When Will decides to tell his daughter the story of how he met her mother, he discovers that looking back may help him solve his future. In short, it is never too late to give love a second chance ... Manhattan's 30-year-old Will Hayes (Ryan Reynolds) is in the middle of divorce proceedings and his ten-year-old daughter Maya (Abigail Breslin) is starting to question him about his life before the wedding. Will tells her about his love successes and downfalls - the neighborhood girl Emily (Jennifer Aniston), April's best friend (Candace Cameron Bure) and the free-thinking Summer (Kate Beckinsale) ... Three romances ... three broken hearts. Maya puts together pieces of her father's love puzzle and begins to understand that love is not easy at all. But thanks to her, Will also realizes that it is never too late to give love a second chance.
