Following the events of Avengers: Secret Wars, the multiverse has been restored—but not perfectly. Wade Wilson (Deadpool) discovers that a mysterious criminal organization is stealing technology and artifacts left behind from Battleworld, hoping to create weapons capable of rewriting reality. Peter Parker (Spider-Man) is trying to return to a normal life as New York's anonymous neighborhood hero. However, Deadpool crashes into his life, insisting they're "destined to be Marvel's greatest team-up."
