Synopsis

Deadman is a ghost, formerly a circus trapeze artist named Boston Brand who performed under the name Deadman, a stage persona including a red costume and white corpse makeup. When Brand is murdered during a trapeze performance by a mysterious assailant Wearing a Hood covering his face, and a Hook for a hand, Boston is brought back, and his spirit is given the power to possess any living being by a Hindu god named "Rama Kushna" in order to search for his murderer and obtain justice.

Description of The Hook (Cleveland Brand):

Took Inspiration from Earth-27, Boston's brother, after his parents' death's he went missing for three years. Presumed dead, in actuality he joined the League of Assassins, and in order to rise in their ranks he had to perform an act of murder, upon finding out his brother had cut him out of the family will during the three years, and squandering the fortune, he choose Boston his brother as the act of murder he will commit. Lost his hand in replacement is a metal hook, hence the name The Hook.
