Kenneth Chase was working in a travelling circus when his dark urges returned. He stole clothes and make-up from performers, fashioning a makeshift clown costume. Using concoctions of his own creation, he anaesthetised his victims and brought them back to his caravan. Once their strength was at its lowest, he carefully examined their fingers before cutting off his favourite. Men, women, young, old -- he didn’t care. The essence of a good collection is in the variety.
