Sheriff of Potter’s Bluff, and our hero. Has lived in this town his whole life, met his wife here, and quickly moved through the ranks in law enforcement. When he investigates a slew of murders in the tiny town - seemingly all tourists, runaways, traveling workers, or homeless folks - he unearths the truth about how their charming town stays so populated, friendly, and flourishing. Dobbs gently explains to Dan that was murdered by his already-turned wife years ago, and brought back to stay as the town’s sheriff for all time. He is unfortunately never able to retain this information and is constantly trying to solve the same mystery year after year. Aged 40-45.
