The daughter of Jim Gordon and staunch supporter of Batman and the costumed vigilantes that protect Gotham, Barbara has dedicated herself as the Oracle to being the eyes and ears of the bat family. Paralyzed as a young girl by a supervillain, she was saved by Batman in one of his earliest appearances and has idolized him and his effectiveness in stopping threats that the police and GCPD can't handle.
