The Crime Syndicate are super-villains from an alternate Earth where they take advantage of a massive battle between superheroes, leaving a power gap. Now the big dogs on campus, the Syndicate came to our Earth, with help from the Secret Society Of Super Villains to pose as the "New Justice League" after the real Justice League and other heroes disappeared in the climax of the Imperiex crisis.
