Former test pilot Hal Jordan, now a veteran of the intergalactic group of protectors of peace and justice known as the Green Lantern Corps, mentors young recruit John Stewart. Whilst on a mission, they get ambushed by Red Lantern Atrocitus. He blames all the Green Lanterns for the destruction of his entire sector at the hands of the Manhunters, the ostensible peacekeeping robots created by the Guardians of the Universe. Unbeknownst to everyone, Sinestro, the first Yellow Lantern, orchestrates the awakening and reprogramming of the Manhunters in order to frame the Green Lanterns as revenge.read more
