After the death of her final family members, Siobhan moved to America to start over. She has a punk attitude, which she puts to work on behalf of the people that she cares about. She joined a band in order to help work through her issues using her music. She has terrible nightmares about her father's temper, her brother in torment, and about losing control of her body. She sees Kara as a fellow newcomer to a new world who is being judge for her reaction to trauma and they bond nearly instantly. It also doesn't hurt that because of Siobhan's ability to quickly learn any spoken language, she is one of the first people on the planet to be able to understand Kara.
