Description of Batwoman (Kate Kane):

After Kate and her mother and sister were abducted; only Kate was recovered and seing her mother die in front of her eyes and being the only one who kept looking for her sister gave her a chip on her shoulder. Getting drummed out of a military academy, Kate wandered, doing; a stint in a circus, as a mercenary, and a playgirl socialite. She still goes out with some of her old classmates from the military academy after becoming Batwoman. Kate is her real personality and Batwoman is where she hides part of her identity rather than the other way around. Kate boxes, goes to dive bars, celebrates Chanukah, and other things that form a normal life and not just as part of her cover.
