Synopsis

The story follows a depressed and broken Richard Grayson struggling to deal with the death of Bruce Wayne. He grapples with the matter of his identity. Grayson ultimately is inspired to take up the mantle of Batman, after the ailing Alfred is murdered by Scarecrow. Grayson faces old and new enemies, and makes new allies, as he learns what it means to be Batman.

Description of Ra's al Ghul (Bruce Wayne):

Bruce sacrificed himself to save Gotham from the League of Shadows,, but Talia pulls his body out of the rubble and has him rushed to the Lazarus Pit. Bruce's mind is corrupted by the Pit. He takes on the mantle of Ra's al Ghul. His agenda changes, and he feels the need to burn Gotham down with his new wife by his side to start the city anew.
