Shadow the Hedgehog has now become the protector of this planet. But little did he know, his past showed his primary destiny that not even he knew about. He was created by Gerald Robotnik, but his DNA comes from the leader of the invasive alien race the Black Arms known as Black Doom. That's how Shadow is powerful. He was originally going to be the vanguard for Black Doom's invasion. Now Shadow is torn between Maria's wish and his prior destiny chosen by Black Doom. Description of E-123 Omega:

When he was arrested, Robotnik left behind his most powerful line of Badniks yet: the E-100 series. He used them before on Sonic and Tails, and practically throughout the entire Dawnverse. But the most powerful, the most distinct, and the most rebellious, was the E-123 Omega. He was a tritagonist trying to destroy the ultimate lifeform and his friends until boy genius Tails required him to become Shadow's loyal ally, who will stop at nothing to destroy anyone who dares to get in his way.
