Beck owns the property Mary lives at. He does not believe it is worth Mary's time going after the Wolf Man, deeming him a "mindless beast" and believing that Mary is too fragile to cope with the horrors the Wolf Man may inflict on her. He seems to have some acquaintance with Maleva, as she mentions him briefly. Beck ultimately dies at the hands of the Wolf Man after going to see him at the freak show.
