Lordran is not the place it used to be. The Flame is fading and where there were gods there are now monsters. An undead is chosen to save this collapsing world, and to do that that he will have to face uncountable challenges and defeat the Old Gods so he can link the Flame and delay Lordran's inevitable descent into darkness.
