As a child, Matt Murdock saves a man, loses his sight, and is later orphaned after his father's murder. He is trained by martial artist Zoltan Drago. As an adult, Matt is a lawyer and the superhero Daredevil, who encounters the Purple Man, who has the power to control people. The villain kidnaps Foggy and nearly kills Matt, but Zoltan saves him. The Purple Man activates the "Mirror" device, which enslaves thousands of people. In the final battle, the villain takes over Matt's mind, and Zoltan sacrifices himself, detonating the "Mirror" and saving everyone. Matt mourns his teacher, with Foggy and Jessica by his side.
