Earning fame and fortune as the lead guitarist of Samurai, the most influential "chrome rock" band of the 21st century, Johnny's musical passion was fueled by a deep hatred for the Mega-Corps that dominated the world, particularly Arasaka. While the world believes he died in a suicide bombing at Arasaka Tower in 2023, in reality his consciousness was forcibly downloaded into an experimental Arasaka biochip that V is hired to steal.
