Synopsis

A group of seamen embark on a journey to a mythical island. However along the way they get tangled up in a horrible storm, which unearths the world’s greatest creature, Cthulhu. While he’s not seen much in the film, his presence is peppered throughout the movie. He not only gets inside their heads, making them turn and kill each other. But by the end of the film, Cthulhu finally rises from the ocean, and traps the crew in a repeating time loop.

Mattie is the runt of the crew, and he’s treated as such. He stays relatively calm throughout the film, however after Cthulhu finally rises from the sea, he kills Mattie by consuming him.
