Husband of Susan. Part of the tourist couple with a failing marriage as he and Susan originally set out for a vacation in the Bahamas but a travel agent had sent them to Mexico by mistake much to Susan's chagrin. Feeling he had been beaten by life after failed job after failed job, not helped by his brother screwing him over with a shady business deal that Susan questioned why he did not question in the first place despite his headstrong behavior. He and Susan have been feeling the spark had been dying down for some time but wanted to save the marriage by promising her a trip to the bahamas. Soon enough, the couple get roped into a trip with the crew of a scientific expedition led by Dr. Jerrica Stark into an unknown part of Central America on the S.S. Laemmle. The encounter with the Gill Man and the prejudice and abusive nature of Dr. Barton ended up teaching him the value of love and rekindled his marriage and even wanted to help the Gill Man. African-American male, around his 40s.
