Synopsis

Victor and Victoria's families are arranging their marriage. Nervous about the ceremony, Victor goes alone to the forest to rehearse his vows. However, what he thought was a tree trunk is actually the skeletal arm of Emily, a bride who was murdered after running away with her love. Convinced that Victor has just asked for her hand in marriage, Emily takes him to the world of the dead, but he must return quickly before Victoria marries the evil Lord Barkis.

Description of Corpse Bride (Emily):

Emily is the titular deuteragonist of Corpse Bride. She is a reanimated corpse who was a talented and wealthy lady in her lifetime, as well as the self-proclaimed bride of the young Victor Van Dort after their encounter in the woods. She was murdered by her ex-fiancé Lord Barkis Bittern and indirectly killed him shortly before gaining her freedom, therefore finally being allowed to enter Heaven.
