Synopsis

Colonel Kostenko and his new assistant, young lieutenant Tadava, are sent to Magadan to investigate an unusual murder. The criminal's signature leads them to a similar case that took place at the end of the Great Patriotic War. In order to identify the dangerous recidivist, the investigators have no choice but to try to find a connection between the events and traces of his crimes in both the past and the present.
