Tim Popple is a geeky slacker man-child who is terrified of growing up and doesn't to be any relationship, instead preferring to living with his frustrated parents and hanging out with his equally childish friends. Until he meets Lisa, a pretty, quirky and kind-hearted young woman who Tim is immediately smitten by. Though there is obviously something odd about her, Tim doesn't care, and after an inseparable two months, the pair decide to get married. But upon reflection, Tim's fears of maturing come flooding back and so he chickens out and runs away. But what he is unaware of, is that throughout most of Lisa's life, she had been partially possessed by a horde of maniacal and bloodthirsty demons, and after Lisa is heartbroken, the demons fully consume her and are unleashed on Earth and are now after Tim!
