The clockwork angel is a prequel series to the City of Bones books by Cassandra Clare. In it the protagonist, Tessa Gray comes to London from New York city to start over. At an invitation from her brother Nate. But when she gets to London she is kidnapped by the Dark Sisters who teach her how to use a power to change into other people that she didn't know that she had. When she is finally rescued from the Dark Sisters by the Shadowhunter's she is plunged into a world of demons and angels where she must figure out who to trust.
