Following the events of Marvel Knights, and happening simultaneously with Black Panther 2: Doomwar. In New York City, Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen are thrust onto the global stage when the X-Men and Wakandans recruit them to assist in an international crisis. With Doctor Doom launching a full-scale invasion of Wakanda to seize its priceless Vibranium reserves, the duo is flown directly into the conflict, elevating them overnight from neighborhood vigilantes into frontline warriors in a high-stakes geopolitical war. Sent into the shadows of Latveria and the battlefields of Wakanda, Cloak becomes a pivotal tactical asset using his Darkforce dimension to smuggle allied strike teams behind enemy lines, while Dagger’s brilliant light energy proves to be one of the few effective countermeasures against Doom's cybernetic shadow-bots. Operating far outside their comfort zone, Tyrone and Tandy must adapt to fighting alongside legendary heroes like Black Panther and Shuri, proving that their bond and complementary abilities can hold their own against world-ending threats. As Doom's sinister influence spreads, the season tests the outer limits of their powers, forcing Tandy to unleash unprecedented light force and pushing Tyrone to master his Darkforce like never before. Defeating Doom’s forces requires the ultimate sacrifice of teamwork, cementing Cloak and Dagger not just as local defenders of the downtrodden, but as formidable, globally respected heroes fully integrated into the wider Marvel Universe.
