When a grand ball is announced at the palace, Cinder's stepfamily forbids him from attending. But with the help of his fairy godfather, who just happens to be a dashing young man named Fitz, Cinder attends the ball in a stunning outfit that he designed himself. There, he captivates the heart of the pretty princess, who is immediately drawn to his wit, kindness, and undeniable talent. As Cinder and the princess grow closer, they face challenges from the princess's parents, who disapprove of Cinder's humble background. Cinder also must navigate the jealousy and cruelty of his stepfamily, who do everything in their power to keep him from his happily ever after.
