Synopsis

When Kathy 'Kitty' Pryde decides to discover more about her superhuman abilities, it leads to her being enrolled in a very different school for gifted. Linked by an X factor in their genetic makeup, each of its members developed a different type of power - as well as a way of controlling it or, better yet, embracing it. While she discovers alongside her new companions what her gifts really mean, Kitty will also have to deal with a very different perspective on them, even in a world of superhumans. They didn't choose it, but they are the next rung on the human evolutionary ladder - but at what cost?

Description of Scott Summers (Cyclops):

[Kitty] - When it happened the first time, what was it like? - Well, I'm not going to lie, that...that was scary. People almost died because of me. - Wow... - But, hey, don't focus so much on those things. The important thing is that you know what your limit is; Summers was the second student at Xavier's institute, where he assumed the role of field leader of the group with his selfless spirit and strategic talent that he developed over time. His mutation gave him the ability to fire destructive optical beams from his eyes. However, an accident to his head caused him some inability to control these rays - since then, he always uses a special visor as a precaution.
