Roxy is the Aircraft Maintenance Officer aboard the aircraft carrier RCAS Roseville (CVN-71). A native of Carlton, West Queensland, she first served in the RCA Air Force as an Electrician working on the FB-111 Aardvark bomber jet, ranked Staff Sergeant. She later switched to the Navy and became an Aviation Electronics Technician working on the F-14 Tomcat, A-4 Skyhawk, and F-5 Tiger fighters. On one tour, she was assigned to the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPSLING) where she made Chief Petty Officer. She was later commissioned through the Limited Duty Officer (LDO) program and became an Avionics Officer. She holds degrees in Aircraft Maintenance Technology and Technical Management.
