Shere Khan is the iconic, fictional Bengal tiger who serves as the primary antagonist in Rudyard Kipling's famous literary work, The Jungle Book. Known for his deep hatred of humans and his unrelenting pursuit of the "man-cub" Mowgli, he represents the ultimate symbol of predatory power and arrogance in the jungle. His reputation was such that he needed only to show himself to intimidate his victims. Khan is also notorious for his animosity towards man, due to his fear of guns and fire. As such, he has vowed to kill any human that stepped foot in the jungle. Throughout the years he has been voiced by George Sanders, Tony Jay, Corey Burton and ldris Elba.
