Trailing off from Episode 7, Metal Sonic had betrayed Eggman and is now going to lead the Robotnik Empire in HIS image, entering the Metal Age!!! Once he had gained the power of the Chaos Rings, he had become something more dangerous: Metal Sonic Kai!!! Having underestimated his creation, Eggman had gotten a well-deserved backhand slap from M.S.K, sending him all the way up into the airsky where the last we see of him is just a twinkling star in the sky. Now Metal Sonic Kai has gained control of all remaining Eggman bases and Badniks. Knuckles and the others fall back and come up with a plan to stop him. Everyone doubted they could win, but Mighty, Ray, & Knuckles convinced the others that it's not about how strong or fast they are. It's the will and faith they have.
