But Espio didn't feel like fitting in, being the only Chameleon. Everyone questioned by the other kids by what he was, where he came from, or whether or not he's an alien. Espio runs away from Vector's house, feeling like an outcast. But it was stormy that night, so it wasn't a good idea. Worried sick, Vector searched for hours, looking for him, fighting the storm to find Espio. Until he found him somewhere Espio didn't expect to be: his old village. Emptied. Destroyed. Abandoned. Not a soul in sight. Vector comforted him and that's when Espio knew his family was Vector all along. Present day, Vector has a photo of him and young Espio as he searches for him again, saying "I'm coming . . . son."
