Synopsis

A hypothetical adaptation of the Stephen King novel, which would follow the book more closely than previous versions. The story follows Carrie White, a teenager with telekinetic powers who’s abused at home and bullied at school, and finally snaps in a horrific way when she’s humiliated at the prom. This version I have in mind would retain plot elements from the book more so than the film versions we have now, including the the memoir Sue Snell writes and the scene between Carrie and Sue at the end.

Margaret is Carrie’s abusive, insanely religious mother, and an absolute psychopath. This is a very difficult role to play, so choose older actresses who you think would be up to the challenge of portraying an extremely abusive, psychotic woman.
