Synopsis

A hypothetical adaptation of the Stephen King novel, which would follow the book more closely than previous versions. The story follows Carrie White, a teenager with telekinetic powers who’s abused at home and bullied at school, and finally snaps in a horrific way when she’s humiliated at the prom. This version I have in mind would retain plot elements from the book more so than the film versions we have now, including the the memoir Sue Snell writes and the scene between Carrie and Sue at the end.

Description of Estelle Horan:

Estelle is a character from the book who gives a testimony on Carrie’s powers. She was very sweet to Carrie when Carrie was a child and would sunbathe in her own yard, something Margaret angrily disapproved of. Estelle was slut-shamed by Margaret a lot, but she was truly a good person and took it in stride.
