Description of Joseph "Joe" Keene:
The protagonist of the film, unlike the cartoon, is a young millennial who doesn't get along with his father, no matter how hard he tries to get along with his son. After his father finds his old Nintendo NES, Joe (initially without the slightest interest in that old video game) is sucked into a vortex that takes him to the world of video game characters, now he must fulfill a prophecy and become the hero destined to save that world of evil forces. He uses a Zapper pistol and a technological bracelet shaped like an NES controller as weapons.
