Captain America: World At War is a 2008 American Superhero film that was directed by Gore Verbinski, produced by Kevin Feige, Avi Arad and was written by David S Goyer. The film tells the story of how Steve Rogers became Captain America during World War 2 and his battle with Hydra and It's leader the Red Skull. The film stars John Krasinski, Orlando Bloom, Michelle Williams, Stephen Lang, Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Bill Murray, Bruno Ganz and Christophe Waltz. The film was the first film in the franchise that was rated R. Captain America: World At War was released on 28 November 2008 and received critical acclaim from critics and audiences. The film was praised for its Direction, Cinematography, Score, Performances of Krasinski, Bloom, Williams and Waltz, it's detection of the 1940s and it's messages. Krasinski and Waltz would reprise their roles in the next two Avengers films and Bloom and Williams would reprise their roles in Agents Of SHIELD Black Ops.
