The Red Skull has found The Tesseract and is planning to use it to make weapons. Steve is forced to save the world and win the war by taking the plane he and the red skull are on and crashing it into the arctic with cap being frozen over for 70+ years. Post Credit: Steve wakes up in Present day and Nick Fury asks him to join his team.
