After being rejected multiple times after enlisting in the army, he meets with Dr Abraham Erskine where they converse about Rogers’ multiple attempts at enlisting. Erskine enlists Steve into a super soldier experiment labelled ‘Project Rebirth’ designed to create the perfect soldiers.
